ChatFlagPrivacy Policy

The short version
- Your flags, their names and the chats they belong to are stored only in your browser, on your computer. We never receive them.
- ChatFlag has no analytics, no tracking, no ads and no account.
- If you buy Pro, your license key is checked with our payment provider, Dodo Payments. That is the only thing ChatFlag ever sends over the internet.
- We never sell, rent or share your data, and we don't use it for advertising or AI training.
This policy explains what information the ChatFlag browser extension (“ChatFlag”, “the extension”) and this website handle, and why. ChatFlag is provided by Kevin George (“we”, “us”). If you have a question, email screenersight@gmail.com.
1. What ChatFlag does with your chats
ChatFlag runs on chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com and claude.ai only. On those pages it reads the conversation shown on your screen so it can place your flags on the right messages and scroll back to them. This happens entirely inside your browser.
ChatFlag does not read other websites, your browsing history, your passwords or anything you type into the chat box.
2. Information stored on your device
ChatFlag saves the following in your browser's own extension storage (chrome.storage.local). It stays on your computer and is never sent to us or anyone else:

You stay in control of this data. You can delete individual flags in the extension, delete everything in Settings → Delete all, or export it to a file with Settings → Export JSON. Uninstalling ChatFlag removes all of it from your browser. Exported files are saved wherever you choose and are yours to keep or delete.
3. Information sent over the internet (Pro only)
If you never buy Pro, ChatFlag makes no network requests of its own.
If you activate a Pro license, ChatFlag contacts the license service of Dodo Payments (our payment provider and merchant of record) to:
- Activate your key when you click Activate,
- Check that the key is still valid, about once a day, and
- Deactivate it when you click Deactivate.
Each request contains only your license key, the activation ID for this device and, when activating, a device label such as “ChatFlag on Chrome (macOS)”. No flags, chat content, chat titles or browsing information are ever included. As with any web request, Dodo Payments' servers also see your IP address.
4. Buying Pro
Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, tax and invoicing. When you buy, Dodo Payments collects the details needed for the purchase, such as your name, email address, billing country and payment details. We do not see or store your full card details. We receive your name, email address and order details so we can deliver your license and help you with support and refunds.

5. This website
This website has no cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, ads or third-party scripts. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.
6. Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your message and email address only to reply and help you, and we keep them only as long as needed for that.
7. What we never do
- We never sell or rent your data.
- We never use your data for advertising, profiling or credit decisions.
- We never use your chats or flags to train AI models.
- We never let anyone else read your chats or flags.
8. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
ChatFlag's use of information received from browser APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide ChatFlag's features described above.
9. Permissions ChatFlag asks for
- Access to chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com and claude.ai: to show the flags rail, panel and buttons on those chat pages.
- Storage: to save your flags in your browser.
- Alarms: to schedule the daily Pro license check.
10. Children
ChatFlag is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information. Your flags are already fully under your control in the extension. For purchase and license information, email screenersight@gmail.com and we will help, together with Dodo Payments where needed.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how ChatFlag handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top. For any important change, such as ChatFlag starting to send new kinds of information, we will also say so in the extension's update notes.
